A very cost-effective way to stay. It worked just fine as a lodging for an outdoor holiday.
Set 250 km above the Arctic Circle, in Björkliden, the ski-to-door access Hotell Fjället offers views of the Lapporten Valley.

The views are magnificent, the staff is friendly (and seemingly very youthful), the food is of high standard (both breakfast and dinner) and the rooms and hotel areas very cosy and in appropriate mountain style.

Lovely house as stated in the ad. 5 minute walk from and to the train stations. Super convenient to reach. Also only 5 minutes to the supermarket.
The sauna was our highlight. Easy to use and really fun to use.
Bedrooms, living room and kitchen are well equipped and comfy.
Abisko is a really beautiful place. We went there to see the Northern lights and we were not disappointed. We also joined a snowmobile trip near our accommodation and it was fun and adventurous to tour around while riding the snowmobile and see wonderful sceneries. There are some other activities that can be done in Abisko too. Loads of love from Malaysia.

Abisko is small and friendly with a significant international population during the tourist season. It was easy to reach by overnight sleeper train from Stockholm. There is plenty to do but most people were there to see the Northern Lights because of its reputation as one of the most spectacular and accessible places in the world to see them. The only place to buy food is the convenience store attached to the gas station but it has a good range, at the prices you would expect for such a remote place. We visited in a “heat wave” of -15C in December when the locals expected more like -25C. Most accommodation and activities rent or provide boots and clothing to help you cope!

We particularly liked the fact that Abisko is remote and unspoilt. The scenery and mountainous backdrop are breathtaking and to have been able to hike around the area was delightful.
Seeing the Northern Lights on our second night, facilitated by Alex, was a dream come true and furnished us with some amazing pictures to take home to those who didn’t believe we would see them.
We ate a good, reasonably priced meal at Abisko Turiststation and would have liked to have tried the food at The Mountain Lodge but it was shut which was a shame.
The supermarket nearby is well- stocked and comparatively reasonably priced for essentials such as milk and bread.
The village is easily navigated on foot and well-signposted.

The natural part is stunning. Both winter and summer periods are filled with activities. Winter is special for the northern lights and 24hours night while the summer is known for the midnight sun and the Kungsleden trail for hike.

It is honestly one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. We were staying there for several days, instead of just using it as a start of a long hike, were afraid that there is not going to be much to do. But there were enough short hikes and different views to keep us busy and in complete awe. Also, so many berries.

I was in a mixed dorm - which was clean and had enough space. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. They could however store toilet papers in the bathrooms as they tend to run over before the maintenance breaks.
Food was ok not great and little option available for snacks. Esp since this is a cold place - warm snacks would be a god send - and that was not even an option here.
The Lodge is really nice, cosy, comfortable. The welcome you wish when arriving in Abisko.
The room (superior) was pretty big and characteristic.
Good restaurant (the only one probably in Abisko when we got there) and good breakfast!
The hall has a cosy area with books and board games, and a small shop.
The personnel is kind and gives good suggestions.
There is a flat high ground area 3 min walking (helicopter base) with darker sky where to spot aurora!
Sauna is a plus.
The location of STF Abisko Turiststation is just perfect: You can start hiking, skiing etc. right from the front door. Whatever equipment you might need, can be rented in the shop, which also offers a limited range of food and drinks. The breakfast is ok, though not impressive. Dinner is also ok. - You can get all the information you might need from publications in the hotel or from the very helpful and friendly staff.
This place is older, but well-maintained and has loads of character. The location vis a vis Abisko National Park cannot be beat. You literally step out the back door to scenic trails. Lots of nice benefits as well like fireplace lounging rooms, an excellent shop (with, e.g., great map selection), and availability of a sauna for no extra charge. Nice restaraunt (though note the opening dates before booking your stay).
Abisko, net is a very good place to stay. Well located, with a very good price, gives a possibility to meet many interesting people. In Abisko ends a famous long-distance sweden trail, called "King's Trail" (Kungsleden) and many hikers who finish this track spend some time in this hostel. There is a free sauna for one hour every day. You will not find anything cheaper between Kiruna and border with Norway.
Friendly staff, plenty of showers and bathrooms, with two kitchens and two communal areas. You can even choose to book activities directly here if you want to.
Another big plus is the fact that you can use the facilities after check-out if your train is in the evening.
A nice and comfortable stay, 10mn away from the lake and less than 1hr from the national park too. Definitely recommend!
Central location, around the corner from the supermarket and a short walk from the train station. Also a short walk down to the lake to look for northern lights. Staff were nice. The kitchen was pretty well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. Laundry service available for a fee. Gift shop was well supplied and prices were reasonable. Loan of snow suits and boots super helpful.
The location for Northern Lights tour & National Park. The reception staff were excellent and enjoyed a laugh. They dealt with our room change request very well. We had a late night noise issue that was unpredictable and we were very happy with their response.
we got offered an upgrade to one of the lodge due to issue with our booking. the restaurant serves amazing food, the best in abisko. walking distance from the starting point of many activities as well as from the helipad for aurora sighting.
Directly connected to the nature park so we could easily walk out our door and start hiking or find a quiet observation point. Despite being busy when we were there (winter), the trails weren't crowded. Lots of options for activities.
Clean hostel and good value for price compared to other accomodations in the area. The sauna is 10/10! Abisko National Park is about 30 min walk from the hostel, the area is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel, excellent value, with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful rooms. I stayed three nights and had dinner each night at the hotel and breakfast each day (included in the hotel rate).
Nice accommodation In Abisko National Park, great hiking opportunities all around!
Different options possible: hotel, b&b, hostel and cabin.
Had a good time and food, glad I’m already back in September!
