The property is close to the tourist spots and temple locations as well as train station. We will definitely come back!

When we arrived, they welcomed us with tea and a small sweet, which was lovely. Our room was large and looked out to the garden, which was gorgeous. We went in November and the autumnal colours in the garden and the town were absolutely beautiful. In the morning we had the privilege to attend the prayer and we received a blessing. After breakfast it started to snow, so we spent an hour watching the garden slowly turn white, it was magical. The communal toilets were clean and the communal bath was small but comfortable. Because the town is up in the mountains, and the building is all wood and paper walls it was very cold in the corridors, but we had heating in the room and nice thick covers for the night. A highlight of the stay were the dinner and the breakfast. All vegan food, very tasty even for us, who are not vegan or vegetarian. It is very conveniently located to visit Okunoin cemetery, we took part in a night tour, something that we highly recommend. All in all it was a magical stay and I would highly recommend it.

高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- ligger i Koyasan, 45 km från Matsushita Park, och erbjuder utsikt över trädgården. Amazing place to stay. The morning prayer was definitely a highlight. Loved all of it. The temple is beautiful, with amazing gardens. The room was also very nice, spacious and well equipped. Staff was very kind. Dinner was served in a private dining room, the food was very nice (but if you cant eat Japanese food definitely bring something to eat as you cant buy anything at the temple). The onsen was modern and clean, men and women are separated. Thank you very much, would definitely recommend!

The location near Okunoin was very peaceful and exactly what I was looking for. The kindness of the monk was just the way I would imagine. Very precious experience.

清浄心院 ligger i Koyasan, 39 km från Kishi Station, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering. I have stayed in quite a few places in Japan but this is my favorite for so many reasons: - You are staying in a temple monastery and you can see and feel that everywhere. You are staying in a piece of history. - the graveyard is one minute walking away (I went there three times in different times of the day) - you get a free tour of temple, can attend the morning prayer and a fire ceremony - the staff was super kind and some spoke very good English - I could check in early - the food is something very different than usual - there is an Onsen instead of a traditional shower room (bathing hours are limited see below) - the wifi is good

祇園の宿 杏花 ligger i Kyoto, 3 minuters promenad från Gion Shijo station, och har en trädgård, rökfria rum samt gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. Everything was perfect about this hotel. Our room was large but very cute with a nice garden and in a great location. And staff was very helpful. We also got some cool amenities.

Shirahama no Yado Daigo ligger i Shirahama, knappt 200 meter från Shirahama Beach och 1,2 km från Ezura Beach. Här erbjuds gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. This place has a 9.1 rating and most reviews seem too good to be true but trust me on this, this place is THAT good. And I would rate this hotel a 100 out of 10 if I can, the high rating is truly deserved. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The rooms are clean, spacious, and the futon is comfortable. The location is great, there are many food places nearby, the beach is just a few minutes walk away (you can even see it from your room depending on where you are placed), and the bus stop which will take you to the station or most places around Shirahama is very near.

Fantastic service from start to finish. From the check in process, to the check out, the staff always made sure you were comfortable and had what you needed. The location is easy to get to and the rooms themselves are stunning. A big selling point of course was the private bath, but a pleasant surprise was their restaurant. My booking included breakfast and a Wagyu course dinner and both were delicious and very satisfying. For a one night splurge, I highly recommend this hotel.
