Set in a 17th-century building in the centre of Perugia, Hotel Morlacchi offers classic-style rooms with free WiFi. Perguia’s Cathedral is only 300 metres away. The hotel is in a very central position in Perugia. It is a lovely family run hotel. Breakfast was a good Italian one served in the comfortable dining area. It is a very warm and welcoming environment.

Situated in Gubbio, 42 km from Perugia Cathedral, Hub Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. This hotel always answered my messages very quickly and both in writing and when there they understood that I was a learner of Italian and let me practice my average Italian. We arrived about 9.30pm on a Sunday night after a slightly delayed flight. I had already cancelled our planned three course dinner but we were hungry and they were very kindly able to offer us a sandwich. The receptionist that evening was very accommodating as was the man in charge in the restaurant. Our room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfy, blackout blind worked perfectly as did the air conditioning. Breakfast the next morning was a buffet service and was fine. The man on reception, possibly the owner/manager, was again very kind and helpful. We were allowed to leave our car there whist we explored beautiful Gubbio which we loved. Overall we were very impressed.

Maakunnan keittiö on herkullinen. Hieno paikka -kannattaa käydä
Hieno kaupunki ja hyvä paikka suhteessa muuhun toimintaan Umbriassa- pääsee bussilla ja junalla moneen paikkaan esim. Spello,Gubbio,Todi,Assisi,Trasimeno järvi. Ravintolat keskimäärin selvästi parempia kuin monessa suositummassa paikassa Italiassa. Ostos mahdollisuudet suhteelisen niukat ja kaupunki rullaportaista ja sinäänsä loistavasta minimetrosta huolimatta haasteellinen mikäli liikuntaesteinen,rattaiden kanssa tai ei jaksa kiivetä portaita...mutta sellainen on koko Umbria.
